Barangaroo

Barangaroo is a waterfront precinct located on the western edge of the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) in New South Wales, Australia. It is named after a prominent Aboriginal woman, Barangaroo, who was a leader of the Cammeraygal people at the time of European colonisation.

 

The Barangaroo precinct was developed as a major urban renewal project aimed at transforming a former container port into a vibrant mixed-use area. The development covers an area of 22 hectares and includes residential, commercial, and public spaces.
